Nikolay A. Rimsky-Korsakov - The Flight of the Bumble Bee

Post by allyunion » Sun Jul 20, 2003 12:03 am

This classical piece speaks out for an AMV.

I have four ideas for the story of this AMV:

1) Generate a lot of bees with favorite anime characters faces on the bee's faces. This would require some professional CGI work involved and heavy editing. They would swarm through scenes, chasing down certain anime characters.

2) Another editing idea. We start with an anime character... oh, let's just say Vash for example... [better to find a character who does this in their anime] have him pick up a bee's nest or have the bee's nest dropped into his lap.
Vash freaks out, and the bees come out. Bees chase Vash.
2a) Several ideas spawn from this, if it was Vash being chased by Bees, add all possible bounty hunters after Vash as well [i.e. include Cowboy Bebop and Outlaw Star... hell, maybe GTO?]

2b) Anyway... back to what I was saying... Bees chase Vash. Vash throws Bee hive away to another anime character... Bees chase other anime character... and this can go on by having the bee's changing targets.

2c) Another alternative to 2b which might be more humorous, which is, using the example above, we have Vash run into another anime cartoon completely different, scenery and all. We then pick up another anime character who tags along running with Vash since they have no other choice... and continue to 'tag' along other anime characters into different animes as the person wishes.

3) Find an Anime where bees [Or insects] are chasing a particular character, and based it around this. For some reason, Doreamon and Pokemon come to mind.

4) The last idea is using a fight scene. Fast fight scenes where the gun shooting or the sword fighting or whatever is carefully timed in such a way that it matchs the speed of the song. Each soft part of the music can be a pause the fight scene, while each furious and loud portions of the music are the scenes where the characters are fighting.

Funny examples for 2c... Vash gets bee hive, carries it while bees are chasing, runs into Kenshin and thereby throwing it into Kenshin's hands. Kenshin does 'Oro?' Looks back behind him, sees the bees, starts running. [Maybe drag the rest of the Kenshin Gumi who is chasing after Kenshin]. Vash & Kenshin run into Neon Genesis Evangelion, where in Tokyo-3, the alert is put out for another angel... which is... none other than the bees! EVAs chase Vash and Kenshin out with the Bees out of their own anime into another one... which happens to be Cowboy Bebop. The Cowboy Bebop hunt down Vash and Kenshin, while Vash and Kenshin make a narrow escape out of the Cowboy Bebop. And this can continue on until... a very weird ending, like Vash and Kenshin celebrating with the Excel Saga group that it's over or they could just hide in Bugs Bunny's hole.
Note: It is possible somewhere along the song, we can stop having the bees chase the principle people who are being chased.

Anyway... these are some ideas... I know certainly don't have the skill to do this or the complete creativity to pull it all together. But I have at least started some basic ideas for the song.

I read your 70 song post, but it was only suggested to use the song. I'm specifying a bit more.

Thereby moving it from "song" suggestion to full "amv" suggestion.

Clever.
If nothing else, harsh noises get your attention.
