Father/Daughter Anime?

Post by KawaiiYume4o8 » Thu Sep 18, 2003 8:01 pm

Can anyone mention an anime show(s) that have a fairly good subplot of a relationship between a father and his daughter? Preferably from the father's point of view, like how he's watched his daughter grow up from a child, then to a teen, then watches her get married? I've searched long and hard to find one that would fit my idea for my amv. But no luck..yet...

Hmm...these kinds of anime are hard to find. Maybe you could try the last 3 episodes of DBZ then the DBGT series for some Goku/Pan moments.

BlackJack.

Not exactly father/daughter, In fact, I have no idea how he gets that little girl in his family anyway...

And then BlackJack kinda... Well, I don't want to give away the movie.
All I'll say is that it doesn't go through the girl's entire lifecycle, but I still think it'd work for you AMV....

And yes, it's told from BlackJack's point of view...

(God, I wish I could remember BlackJack's REAL name... I haven't watched that movie in YEARS...)

Saber Marionette J to X could work for that. Watch the ending and you can see what I'm talking about. Also, you might consider Cardcaptor Sakura.

Yeah, I thought of Cardcaptor Sakura too. I'll consider Saber Marionette J-X also. It seems as though I'll be using multiple anime instead of just sticking to one, as I'll probably not have enough footage from it. Thanks ^^

Well, there's sort of something like that in Princess Tutu, between Princess Kraehe/Claire and her father, the monster raven. But he's immobile for the most part, so that might not work. Depends on your video concept.

Blue Seed has a kind of thing going on but that's an adopted father / daughter... :P

Lain has some Father / Daugher Sub plot but not much.

You can probably cut it to look like some one is some one's father and some one is his daughter if you do some creative editing... :P

In Ayashi no Ceres, there's a father/daughter moment until the father got shot (CURSE the Mikage  ).
