And now, for something different...[favorite opinion?]
What was your favorite opinion? (Recieved, not given.) Which one gave you the criticism/comments you needed to really improve your work?

That's a really hard one, I have a few. >.<
EC's review for my 'Together' vid taught me not to be bold about dbz vids and to watch out for people who think you're padding your score.

SSJVejita0609's review for my 'Beautiful People' vid taught me how to look at timeframes and how to write reviews.

Omnistrata's review for my 'And Ever' vid taught me that I can do het romance vids, whether I like watching them or not.

There are others that I loved getting and reading, but not many that I actually learned from - as in reviews where I took the advice and changed accordingly. I tend to take it all together - it isn't often that a single review will make me shift my editing style or the way I look at my videos. I'm too stubborn, I have to be told something at least 4 times before I'll accept it as fact when it comes to amvs.

I've only recieved two ops on one vid so far so I don't have very many options. They were very nice and I'm happy that people took the time to write them....but they kinda say the same thing and really don't go into too much detail.
In all honesty the best opinions I recieve are not over the org.
I always let Scintilla "beta-watch" any vid I make before I spring it on the public. Although his commentary is over AIM rather than an org form, he lets me know what I am doing right, what I am doing wrong and what I can do to make the vid and future vids, better (if applicable...WMM can only do so much), which is basically the same info that should go into the opinion. The only difference is how the message gets to me.

i probably can't say i have a best op. all the ops i've got are usually the same just some of them go into more detial on some parts. I'd have to say the ops i got for Midnight helped a lot when creating Mitternacht. i tried to fix all the issues i had with that to make mitternacht much much better.

You still haven't responded to my review.Beowulf wrote:The best opinion I got was when Fluxmeister beta tested "Imagine" for me and pretty much fixed everything.
As for my favorites... that's tough. Koop, EC, Nailz, shadow13, and Arigatomyna all gave me some decent reviews.

I think that if it wasn't for Marco's review of my first video (see public opinion here) I wouldn't have bothered making many more videos.
I think that without that review and the conversations we had afterwards, I can safely say that I wouldnt have become a community regular, made shameless rock video, entered it to contests, met awesome people, made a video for adv, met my current girlfriend....
It sounds really melodramatic thinking of it like that but it's probably true.
Give honest reviews, people! Us n00bs need advice and encouragement!
