Anime but not a song

Post by sabin26 » Thu Aug 22, 2002 7:53 am

I am trying to work on my first AMV, hopefully with a little help from SLB Productions. I have some of the Anime I want to use: Evangelion, SoulTaker, the first Hellsing DVD, Spriggan, Ninja Scroll, and Perfect Blue. I just can't think of a good song to put to these. I think if I go into the action category it might work :? I have seen almost all of the AMV with Slipknot and to me Slipknot doesn't work very well for AMVs. I want it to be a hard rock song as well. Does anyone have any ideas?

Also I want to stay away from Linkin Park and all the other bands that have had songs used over and over again.

*AND*? A prime yet annoying mistake of less-experienced creators is to mash a bunch of different titles together into a single video. After you get your song, if it doesn't immediately suggest a title, watch everything you've listed that you think might work and see which of them is best.

As for music, try looking here to broaden your range:

http://www.centurymedia.com/audio/MP3/Frames.html

Basically every kind of harder music you could want: hardcore, nu-metal, black metal, death, noise, power metal, and a bunch of really out-there stuff as well. Of the bands they've got for download right there, more than 30 of them have never been used in an AMV.

i agree, just stick with one anime for your first amv. off the top of my head i would say silverchair is a good band and there are no amvs on the .org database to their songs. They are an australian band and are very underrated in most countries (cept australia, where they are HUGE)
Some songs to try:Anthem of the year 2000 or Freak

Look for a band called Skrape. They're kind of hard, but have a little artistry to their music.
I'm out...
