Neko Neko?
I have an inspiration for an AMV, but I need help. I need anime that includes cats in them. Not the everyday cats either, I need the anime symbolism cats: ie Trigun, Azumanga Daioh, SailorMoon, etc.
Besides those anime I listed above, what would the 'etc' include?

First off, reading the subject of your email made me think of the "kappa", if I'm not mistaken. I believe that is the onomatopoeia used by the Japanese for such things as frogs and the "kappa" (which has a pool of water on its head without which it would shrivel and die).
Second, I can think of two or three anime that use cats, whether they are what you want or nay. The first that I can think of is Ranma. We find in the second season (and this is a bit of a spoiler) that Ranma has ailurophobia. This is not helped by Shanpu at all.
We are also introduced in the fourth season of Ranma to a ghost cat. He reappears in season five and I recall a third appearance but can't seem to find it. I think he shows up in season 6, but can't find the episode.
The second anime that comes to mind is Kiki's Delivery Service. You should be able to find a decent amount of footage of him and he might go pretty well with Kuroneko-sama. Another anime would be Geobreeders, though I don't know if you'll get any good shots out of that.
I know I have recollections of other cats making prominent appearances in other anime that I have seen, but they escaped me while I was trying to come up with the stuff above. If it happens to jump to mind and I can keep it there long enough, I'll post again with the other information.

I can't believe that my mind skipped on me, especially since I looked right at the box sitting on my table for the DVD. Fruits Basket most DEFINITELY has the cat in it. The cat shows up in the first episode and reappears in most every episode after that.
There's that idea out. I must continue picking at my mind to see if I can come up with anything else.
