Question
I know that Beavis and Butthead are definitely NOT anime, but would it be ok if I uploaded a B&B video here? Are the rules that strict? After all, it is a cartoon...

Hey, if you don't like it, all you need to do is host your own videos.FrostSniper wrote:so your telling me that the rules are so strict that only anime can be uploaded, but i can still dl FF cutscene videos here? Good luck with that, though.

Well you have to draw the line somewhere. I mean if you allowed any cartoons, then people would ask if CG counts as well, for things like Toy story . Then when you have CG allowed, where do you draw the line? Could you upload a video of the matrix revolutions? Or star wars? I mean its practically all CG except the actors. So no matter where you draw the line at, theres always going to be something thats on the borderline, people that wanna push it as far as they can go.

To add to Zarxrax's point, it's expensive enough for Phade to keep the Donut up and running with the current restrictions on videos. Lifting all the restrictions and allowing people to just simply upload whatever they want could quite possibly add even more strain to this, not to mention taking the focus of the site away from where it is intended to be...

Whine whine whine. Here's what you do:
- Get a webhost. They're cheap. Mine is $5 a month for 100G of space (though I have it upgraded to 200, god only knows why).
- Upload it there.
- Ta-dah!
In your journal here you can say "Hey d00dz, I have this vid at this link [link]" or whatever.
Or,
- go to a site that hosts fanvids from American animation. I don't know of any, but try looking around.
Not that hard.
