Heh, I immediately thought of Maison Ikkoku too.

Though with all the dog talk...twisting some Inu-Yasha might work (though I can't recall Kagome looking sweet with anyone other than Inu-Yasha).

The Hakkenden? (Okay, it might be a stretch....)

Ooh, I can imagine the Cowboy Bebop one would be very funny... Ofcourse a mix might work too, or do you think that the song is too specific for a mix?

Well, mixes can be really fun if done right, but you have to have a lot of good source DVDs. Some excellent mix AMV's I've seen are the one about anime hair set to the song Hair, the one about crossdressers set to the song _Dude (Looks like a lady)_ (this one's unfortunately not available at this website), the one called "It's Tricky to Make a Music Video", the fanservice one set to the song _Make My Boobies One More Size_, and the _Baby got Back_ one. (I really have to update my profile with my list of favorite music videos one of these days...)

So if you did want to make a mix you'd probably want to make a list of all the anime with dogs in it and start from there. _Gravitation_ is one - Shiuichi shows up in a dog SD form several times. _Fake_ has a nice scene of Dee being a dog and jumping on Ryo. That hair AMV has some dog-like people, one is Ashitare from Fushigi Yuugi, I don't know about the other one. I think there's at least one scene in Bakuretsu Hunters of Carrot looking like a wolf because he's in lust with some girl.

It's up to you really - do you think you can get the source footage, do you think Cowboy Beebop has enough dog footage to make a vid by itself, and which do you think would be more fun to make?
