Media Players

Post by Alpha_Hazard » Tue Mar 23, 2004 7:26 pm

I'm just looking for opinions on what the best media player is for both Video and Audio playlists. Currently my favorite is Windows Media Player, but it cannot play AAC, Winamp can, but I have had trouble with it being just incredibly slow, and not being able to read some of my files. The other I have used is real player, which is unreliable as it tends to crash and leave me to reboot my entire library, which takes at least an hour with Real...Anybody?

I use Winamp to play all the video and audio files. What version are you using? The version that I believe works well is the 2.8. Anything beyond that I didn't like.

I like Winamp 5.02 because of its media library but if I run accross a file I can't play it goes straight to Media Player Classic. I used to always use MPC for everything. It is indeed a great player.
