Crap Ass Quality Videos
Do you think it would be possible to set a minimum quality standard for this site? I'm pretty sure everyone else is getting real pissed off by the crappy pixely AMV entries that polute the site. Why don't people just stop making AMVs that are either crappy in quality or have been converted from widescreen to fullscreen by just stretching the video verticaly? Is it really that difficult for you to do?! If only one could be abolished I would say the aspect ration BS that some people do for god only knows what reason. Somebody please help make the pain stop!!!*Clutches head and begins crying*

Just because a vid has crappy quality, doesn't mean it's not a good video. Some people don't care about their quality, or they just don't know how to make it better. Personally, I just got sick and disgusted at the low quality of my earlier vids, which prompted me to finally get my lazy-ass in gear and read the freakin' guides.
And remember, you don't have to watch a vid with crap quality. You have the power to STOP WATCHING the video at any time. No one is forcing you to keep the vid playing.

I agree with Tsunami. Clip Quality, although an important viewing aspect, should have nothing to do with the quality of the video as a whole. Take me for example. Many of the early videos in my profile use questionable quality video clips (compared to what I use now) yet some of them are still great videos as a whole.
And like Tsunami says, you can always just stop watching it and delete it (if you downloaded it). Simple as that.
You're never going to get EVERYONE to have a standard. Not on this site at least. If you wanted a standard, then a smaller site or group would be the way to go.
Just my two cents ^_^

also, sum editors are like 12 yrs old
so inexperience can lead to incompetance... and bad spelling if that's the case here... >_<
so if someone doesn't think the video quality HAS to be perfect, they won't make the effort, plus, i don't think a youth would have the drive to make the quality better, let alone the know how

yea the quality really shouldn't matter. its how well the video is put together. sometimes it can't be helped though because people might not have great quality sources.
plus...i remember reading on the site that the point of this site if to just host the videos, not whether it be a good video or bad video. ur just gonna have to deal with d/ling the bad quality amv's. and yea u can always stop watching like tsunami jones says

I once downloaded a video that was the first Tenchi movie set to Every Breath You Take by The Police.
Most of it was blurry around the edges that it felt like looking through a fog. One or two points were just 100-150 blocks on the screen. Crap-ass quality. I knew what each scene was because I've seen the movie a couple times, but it was still crap-ass quality.
And yet... the video focused on the developing relationship between Achika and Noboyuki, how they met, the attack of Kain, the birth of their son, Tenchi. Despite the crappy-as-shit quality, it was a nicely constructed video.
I lost it a bit ago. I haven't been able to get ahold of it since. Too bad. I kinda liked it, personally. The quality was really bad, but when I looked beyond the horrid amount of pixellation, I found I rather enjoyed it.
