NGE set to Black Ballons?

I was thinking about making a video of the relationship between Asuka and Shinji set to Black Ballons by Goo Goo Dolls or I Didn't Understand by Elliot Smith. I'm thinking I have more ideas for Black Ballons, however I think Elliot Smith has seriously been underestimated in terms of AMV and Goo Goo Dolls other songs(i.e. Iris) seems to have been overdone quite a bit. This will be my first video in some years so I wanted to make sure I'm not doing something too cliche. Does any one have any other ideas for songs or concepts from NGE that I could try exploring?

if you realy want to do it, do it.

I will say that I have seen a few AMVs to black Baloons recently. and they were all pretty good. None used Eva though, except for one multi anime one thats questionable on its authenticity (see THIS thread), So its not anything groundbreaking, but if you make it good, no one will realy care about its originality.
