Something funny.

In an AMV I like music in english even though the anime is japanese. however I hate it when the music is in Japanese (the lyrics anyway). I think one reason is because I can understand the story the artist is trying to present better, when it is in english. Well what are your feels

Im like AMVs done to Japanese music, but only if the song seems to really fit, or if the editing is done well, like Dwchang's Kenshin AMV. Other than that I do prefer english songs rather than Japanese songs because I can understand the AMV more.

If you seen any Japanese music videos (that are GOOD), than you'd know that they're a good mix with anime (Haven't you ever seen the Evangelion opening, Kare Kano opening, etc.?) People here create stuff like that so that it can feel more anime.

Japanese Music fits better with Anime

If its English music, you always expect the scenes to always "fit with the style". Thats the hard part of those types of Amvs, but its much harder to try to fit Japanese music with anime scenes.

And lyrics in amvs would kill the amvs. ... its all about the beat!

Yes I have actually. That is a good AMV, but it also doesn't have the most complicated story to it.

AMVs are a great escape, but of course I do everything for the story aspect. I acutall gave tainted dounts a 3/5 on the star rating. So I need it to be in english to understand, however if it is a good editor they only need the pics, and the beat (such as Rage of Souls & Sarrow which got 5/5). Of course me doing purly for the sotry probably explains why my average rating is a 2.51.

O c'mon, When does AMVS need stories to be good? I've seen 100s of amvs that are action packed, and I consider them good. (AND GUESS WHAT, they're in English!)

If "Shiroi Yami no Naka" was in English, "Tainted Donuts" never would have been made to it.

The lyrics are so far from the story being told that it's not funny.
