FOOTBALL!!

i was wondering if someone could explain to me how the video titles FOOTBALL!! is supposed to amuse anyone. no matter how many times i watch it, and try to understand how this amuses, i just dont see it. the way it was put together was creative but beyond that......it astounds me as to how this amuses people. this isnt intended to insult the video or creator but i just dont see it. anyone? the link to it is at the bottom, or i tried to put it at the bottom anyways.

I'm just as confused as you. There are a lot of popular comedy videos that seem to get a lot of good reviews and win awards, but I just don't find funny. I can enjoy a good comedy video, but maybe my way of thinking is too serious to find humor in some silly comedy videos. FOOTBALL!! had some good effects and sync to go with the music, but at no point did I find the video amusing. But that's just my opinion.

Is it really neccessary to go out of your way to publicly say you don't like a video? If you downloaded it and didn't like it just give a star rating and move on. If you must express that you didn't like it leave an op (being as fair and objective as possible of course) and move on. You may not mean to be insulting to the creator or video but I think posting this in public is insulting regardless.

Anyway, to answer your question, most of the homestarrunner based stuff falls into the catagory 'so stupid you're supposed to laugh'. Some people do laugh and others just think it's stupid. Kinda like AYBABTU, Badger Badger Badger, We Like the Moon, and other internet memes. Either you like it or you don't and if you don't all the explanations in the world aren't going to help.

well This is the General AMV forum and he is talking about an AMV, True this could go down a negative road where it started but If as many people who liked the video here posted here that will quickly go away. Also he's helping the creator in an offshoot sort of way. Any hype created towards football will generate more downloads and eventually more opinions. I personally Laughed my ass off when I first downloaded the video. and unlike some comedys this is so senseless, creative, and simple in its execution poses a higher replay value than most comedys do to me.

It's probably more amusing at a convention, where the laughter spreads more easily among the crowd.

I personally found it more fun than funny, but still a good video.

It's like playing a good fighting game, it sucks alone, but is awesome with friends : )
