If it's just a quality problem, there are ways around that without having to switch programs. Try raising the bitrate (choose the 'other' option when you go to produce the vid, and then pick one with a bigger 'number' than the one you've been using). You can also do conversions, but you'd need to get the best out of wmm before you worry about cleaning it up even more (and it's more work).

For free (and not free) software, check the bold sticky in the 'Software Help' section. Most of the known programs have been listed there (with links for the freebies, prices for the not so free).

PS, don't ask where to illegally download programs. It's against the site rules - check the 'site announcement' section, the rules are also a bold sticky at the very top.

Well, you could export as 'other' like Ari said, and pick uncompressed AVI(Man, I haven't looked at WMM in a while...) or, I believe it's the first option, before DV AVI.

Anyway, you could do that, and then follow the EADFAG guide if you want to convert to "better" filesizes, etc.

On a sidenote, Ari, I've been wondering, did you put the not a mod thing in your sig because people were PMing you about stuff all the time? Always plagued me...

Choose the 768kbps option to get the most bang for your buck. WMM really isn't all that bad, ya know.

Derobert said to put it in my posts so people don't think my opinions are the site guidelines. With it in my sig, I don't have to retype it with every post I make. ^_^

i wouldn't recommend 768 kbps, unless your source is crap quality, in which case your export is gonna be crap quality anyways so you might as well make it small filesize for downloading.

use dv-avi as sq suggested then apply cleaning filters and recompress to a smaller size with virtualdub. if dv-avi doesn't work, use a high bitrate windows media encoder profile (this only works for wmm 2 though)
