I would like a depressing song

Post by obh04 » Fri Oct 29, 2004 3:57 pm

I can not think of a depressing song that would go with Neon Genesis Evangelion. So if you could give me a few ideas for some songs that would be nice.

Burned on, Burned on...

Though it would probably help if you tell what depressing aspects of Eva you're going to make your video about, I do have some suggestions anyway.

Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly - "Chou" - I'll admit, I just want to see a video to this song. It IS sad like you want, but it's also a very beautiful song.

Vanessa Carlton - "Twilight" - this song is slightly deceiving. It is a depressing song, but at some times its lyrics are almost uplifting. It's weird like that.

X TV - "Requiem" - this song must be pretty depressing, since it plays whenever someone dies in that anime... Two things, though. It is an instrumental song, and it isn't very long.

Yami no Matsuei - "Kaeru Basho" - this is another instrumental, and it is actually a take off of "Amethyst Remembrance," which is a song with lyrics that is played much earlier in the series.

Um, I don't have any more time now, but if you like, I'll try to suggest more songs.

As always, Farewell, Good Luck, and Happy AMV-ing!

Maybe some End of Green soundtrack or Draconian as well as Darkwell or Mandragona Scream.

OMG...obviously...you are noy an Amy Lee fan..because if you were, you would know that was a calabo between herself and Seether.....and Seether being the original creator of the song. Everyone thinks Amy Lee made the song because they heard it on the Punisher movie...when the song had been around for quite a while...but since it was from south african metal band, everyone thinks the hot chick made it. Not trying to flame, but if your going to say a song, at least get the proper singer/band that plays it.

susan by the subhumans is a real depressing song, but it has a tight story to it that doesnt leave a lot of room. here are the lyrics

Susan finished school at 16
Wants to be a secretary
2 years later she's got nowhere
Ends up in a factory
Making matches it's so boring
She gets sad and so depressed
Hears her doctor smugly tell her
"Take these pills and get some rest"
But she takes it one step further
Parents rescue her in time
Smile and tell her "When you're married
Everything will be just fine"
She recovers and gets married further shuts the closing door
Though he says "I really love you"
She feels worse off than before
9 months later she's a mother
It's a bouncing baby boy
"Oh how super!" say her parents But for her there is no joy
Words like mummy don't mean nothing
It's all she hears from 9 to 5
All alone at number 19
Every single day she dies
19 years of hollow cliche
Now she wants to end it all
Bored to death from doing nothing
Family drives her up the wall
Swinging Susan hanged herself
She couldn't live her pointless life
He comes home to see through tears
The rigid corpse that was his wife
The life and times of Susan Strange
Ended in that tragic way
With the money from insurance
The family went on holiday
Nothing left but rotting flowers
On an unattended grave
The epitaph has faded badly
No one reads it anyway

That song, is from An American Tale.........NOT Fival Goes West.
First movie...not second.

God...is it so much to ask that if your gonna post a song, you get the damn sources right?
