Looking for Females [Voice Acting Amv Project]
I'm looking for teenage to mid 20's females (Residents of the org, OR other) to apply for some voice acting segments.
Let me clairify, I have plenty of men voice actors, the problem is I'm doing a project that will need about 10 to 11 female voice actors. There are a few rules though.
1. You must be willing to work (this might take a 6 or 7 takes to get the perfect one, for one line).
2. You cannot dissapear halfway threw production, if you go away for more than a week with no notice, I will be forced to find another person.
3. Please, Please, do not sign up if you can't follow either of the above.
If you want to sign up. You have a few options.
Go to the forums (voice acting project) Here, Contact me on aim (Nemosvoices), or contact me on Msn (Nemos_voices@hotmail.com , Which also doubles as my email).
Please sign up.
I assure you might not have fun at first, but you'll be part of a really big project, and I think you'll enjoy the results (most of the people working on my former projects have).
Thanks,
Jacob

I think the age restriction is silly.Voices_Of_Ryan wrote:I'm looking for teenage to mid 20's females (Residents of the org, OR other) to apply for some voice acting segments.
First, many of the better female voice actors in the professional industry are in their upper 20s or 30s. Second, you don't need to post the resriction here, of all places. ;p I only know one female who is in her upper 20s, and a few (well, maybe more than a few if I thought about it) who are in their mid 20s. Third, wouldn't it be more accurate to say you want a VA who sounds, or can sound, like they're in that age range?
Kusoyaro: We don't need a leader. We need to SHUT UP. Make what you want to make, don't make you what you don't want to make. If neither of those applies to you, then you need to SHUT UP MORE.

I said it because as generalizing as it may be, I havnt seen that many 40 yearold girls around here (muchless, va's). But yes thats' what I intended.flint_the_dwarf wrote:I think the age restriction is silly.Voices_Of_Ryan wrote:I'm looking for teenage to mid 20's females (Residents of the org, OR other) to apply for some voice acting segments.

You could just hire MC Hawking and speed his tracks up.

Last I checked, amateur voice acting was overwhelmingly female, and the usual problem was exactly opposite this. They usually have too many girls and not enough boys. Describe your project and the characters you want auditions for (type of voice, test lines, etc.) on an AVA board and you wil get some interested people.
However, my advice is to be more specific than that with what you want, or people won't know if they have the right type of voice. Not just "young," 'cause duh. Describe the characters and give them audition lines to send you. That's usually how it works, I believe. If you're freaked out about some big veil of secrecy, you're probably going to lose interested parties because they have no idea what you're talking about. Throw them a clue, and someone may be interested.
Good luck with that.

Uncompressed .WAV... please. Any compressed format will just make it sound that much worse after mixing, adjusting levels, and the distro round of compression. Especially considering some people don't have very good mikes to begin with.post-it wrote:. and, how would they send you a sound-sample?Voices_Of_Ryan wrote:... yes thats' what I intended.
