hosting videos

I need a web site other than this one that can host my videos. are there any good free ones out there?

Hosting used to be such a huge deal before the golden doughnut. All the big name editors had webspace and people trying to break into the hobby had to ask nicly (read beg) to be helped out by an experienced creator or pony up the cash.

I'll bet that's how the studios started, people pooling their AMV's on a website and sharing hosting costs...

angelfire gives you 20 mb, max file size of 20 mb, 1 gig/month bandwidth per account for free.
if you have multiple emails, you can sign up for multiple accounts.

That's really useful for betas but 20 mb is a bit small for videos. I guess you could use it for short joke videos that are to raunchy for the org but with the donught around that's about it.

geocities lets you host amv's, but you'l have to convert the to 28.8k wmv

At this point, the only way you'll be able to host videos is through a paid site or your own server. Most free sites have limited space and bandwidth. The ones with unlimited amounts usually have a file size limit (often <1 MB).

Or beg someone until they give in.

When the World Domination site is up and running, I'll host other people's videos for free. The vids don't even have to be good, I'll still host them... heck, the sucky videos only make my own look better by comparison.
