Yu Yu Hakusho AMV Idea - Does it Need to be Shot Down Now?

I'm a newbie here, and I just wanted to ask if anyone thinks my idea is a good one. *If* I ever get the computer capabilities (working on it; getting a new comp soon), I'll be making this AMV as my first attempt, and I want to know right away if it seems hackneyed or stupid.

Anime: Yu Yu Hakusho
Song: Only One
Artist: Yellowcard

I have plans to center the vid on Keiko and Yuusuke's relationship. I already have specific clips, a theme and a pace in mind. Thoughts? If I need to be shot down, please, shoot me now, before I waste any time on it.

I don't know this song. But I haven't seen any real romance vids for this pairing yet, so it sounds like something I'd definitely like to watch. There are a lot of general Yusuke-profile videos, vids that just happen to mention Keiko's existence while they show Yusuke's fights and character growth. But they're not romance vids focused on the relationship itself. I don't think there is a single video on the org that focuses on Keiko alone, so anything that's half-devoted to her would be new and interesting.

So, yeah, if you are planning a romance vid for Yusuke and Keiko, by all means go for it. And see if you can find this thread and drop me a PM when it's done. I'd like to see it. ^.~

Hmm, yeah, I'd be interested in seeing how you handle this. I just googled the lyrics to Only One and it sounds like something that would go with Yusuke's and Keiko's relationship. Happy editing!

Whew. Thanks. I was honestly expecting this to be a more popular topic; they *are* the main canon coupling of the series. I shall definitely continue with my plans then, but don't expect it any time soon--I still have to figure out how to do it, and I anticipate that my perfectionistic tendencies will force me to spend six months ironing out every tiny flaw I can spot. I look forward to the challenge, though. ^^

I would defininetley like to see a Yusuke and Keiko vid done to that song. I have heard the song before, and I must say that I think it would really go well together with the pairing. Its would seem to be a very good video, as you seem to have already planned out everthing and stuff. Well happing editing

I've actually got plans, now, to not only do this video, but to do a companion vid. The song 'Only One' would place my original idea from Yuusuke's POV, so I thought I'd do a second video along the same lines, but from Keiko's POV instead. The song I'm thinking of using is a lot slower, a bit sadder, and very pretty.

I checked and it hasn't been used for YYH before, and in fact it's only been used four times total. Hopefully I can release these videos as a pair, and start out well in my foray into video-making. I was inspired to come up with the second one by the replies to this post, actually, since it seems like a few Keiko videos would be refreshing. I have my new computer now and will very soon begin working on them. Thanks everyone!

Wow, companion vids! What a cool idea! I'm going to have to catch up with some Sarah McLachlan, the lyrics to this song sound really sad/sweet. Eagerly awaiting these ... happy editing!
