Koop effects =/= other effects
Eventually this will probably turn into what it usually does, but right now it's more of a technical question:
While watching Koop's effects, I notice that they have like a kind of slower and more movie-ish feel to them, like they were rendered directly into the anime. Maybe he used a lower frame-rate for them or something, I don't know.
When I watch the effects that many other people use(of course there are some exceptions), I see that their's are faster paced and go at different speeds then the animation does, which makes them look kind of out of place.
Does anyone else notice this difference?

0:30 - beside the mask of Ayato in the water and the white bars, this sillhouette shot is rendered in the anime.
0:33 - this particle explosion thing was also rendered in the anime
0:34 - this hexagon whipe, too
1:32 - this shatter effect with the hands is in the intro of the anime
2:06 - this whole scene is in the anime in episode 11
2:16 - this yellow bar in episode 12
3:01 - I'm not sure if he manipulated this a little or not, but this effect is too
3:09 - the beams here are in the anime, including the whole scene
3:16 - again with the beams
3:24 - this shot of the wings is completely in the anime, koop just cropped it and did the little windows effect
This list I made from what I think people would misconceive as effects, so I could have left one anime effect out. I don't think I did, though.

No. And I really have no idea what you are saying either. His effects look like any other effects to me :\Pyle wrote:Does anyone else notice this difference?

*sigh* Pyle starts another "teh magic Koop" discussion.
I think the real reason for the quality of Koop's effects is just a careful placing them and then a careful job cleaning everything up and compressing the video well. Otherwise, it's all really inherent to the sort of music and video sources he uses. What you're talking about is probably the deluge of seizure-inducing videos which don't have any real relation to Koop's videos with them slower Koop-girl songs he always goes for.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

What I mean is that when one of the boxes appears and is dragged off of the screen, it looks like it was shot directly into the anime, which he ripped off of the DVD and put into the AMV(strange explanation). Godamn this crap is hard to explain. Meh.
I'll try and explain it differently. It looks like he pasted and made every single image of the box moving across the screen, instead of just setting the boxes on a 'scroll'.
