How do you watch videos?
My usual watching experience is either by myself or with Wonka. I crank up the volume, maximize the screen, and turn out the lights. I try to make it as theatrical as possible. I usually watch about 5-10 videos in a single sitting and have 1 or 2 sittings in a day.
Do you watch videos alone? With friends? How loud? Headphones? At night time?

I watch videos in one of three modes:
1) I have just downloaded/have had a random urge to rewatch a video and quickly put it on in whatever speaker/headphone setup I might be in and maximised or not dependant on the presence of otherwise of IM programs.
2) I specifically set aside some time for watching some videos of a particular category or theme. I tend to watch 5-10 videos in ambient lighting, fullscreen preferably with headphones as it has the wonderful effect of making the sound appear to come from inside my head
3) I decide to settle down to watch a longer multi-editor project over a period of some time with snacks etc.

I usually just download and watch them casually. My preferred AMV-watching time is often in the dead of night.
But when circumstances permit, I try to have 'sessions' with my brother and/or friends - which are generally affairs of 2-3 hours with perhaps 40 or more AMV's that we watch - in terms of athmosphere, it basically becomes aking to a mini-con - with good sound to boot.

Well I open my eyes, first of all, and focus on the computer screen . . .
Actually, I definately watch AMVs alone (because none of my friends know that I even like anime muchless AMVs ^^;; ) except for when I force my sister to watch mine for critique. And then I just sit there the whole time scolding her for the fact that she's not paying attention or explaining how and effect was made, etc.
Volume, just at normal volume, maybe a little quieter than some have their's at. If an AMV has a particularly quiet audio track I'll adjust accordingly, but I've never been one for blasting music.
As for head phones, no, unless the song/audio is obscene then I'll wear then so my mom won't hear and come complaining.
As for the time, I watch new AMVs at like 5 or 6 AM (because I have my computer downloading over night and it finishes right about when I wake up at 5 or 6. But I'll watch them over again all throughout the day, while things on the internet are loading, or whatever. I love AMVs. ^___^
Hmm. . . Anything else. . .. Well, when I'm watching AMVs (after the first few viewings) I tend to watch about 2/3s of them and then play a different one because I get bored, even if the AMV is excellent. Sort of like how the radio often cuts off the ends of songs.

Basically I show off ANY comedy videos to a group of my aquaintances in my club from my laptop (as long it doesn't get too noisy ).
All other videos, I them watch by myself. Occasionally, I create VCD compliations and play them on my parents' computer with the big speakers; I'm still perfecting how to create a DVD compliation since my first one has a lot of the videos "jittering".
