Post by Chaos__Raven » Sat Jun 04, 2005 10:34 pm

Hi. I love Watching AMVs and I myself am an artist and would really REALLY like to make one. I have a brand new dell, XP and all. ((Although my house is condemmed to kill every piece of technology ever to carress it's tabletops) So what I'm asking is, In you're opinion, what is the most cost effective way without downloading to get the AMV recquired software. Im so lost.... PLEAS HELP! :(

Buying it?

But for a lot of AMV-related programs, downloading is fine because the programs are free (and, in some cases, Free). Like with <a href="http://virtualdubmod.sourceforge.net">VirtualDubMod</a>, <a href="http://www.dvddecrypter.com">DVD Decrypter</a>, <a href="http://www.avisynth.org">AVISynth</a>, <a href="http://www.koepi.org">XviD</a>,...

Oh just download the thing. Why use a stick to paint when you can steal a paint brush? Is it wrong? Yes. Do it anyway.

If you're referring to my post --

If you're anti-piracy, install linux and use cinelerra. And yes, I am serious. It's all open source, all free, and used to create several big screen movies so they can take even more money out of our pockets for profit. Find a wonderful review here:

Yes, I have done this, but I own Premiere legally, and as such, my wish to experiment gave way to my wish to finish videos in a timely manner.

Bah, you can complete videos using Cinelerra in a timely manner. I've done it.

Yes, you can if you want to spend the time getting over the (comparetively small to premiere and final cut) learning curve. I didn't mean to imply once you're editing that it's especially hard to complete a video.

How does it hurt the economy by downloading software you can't afford to make something you can't legally make a profit on?
