AMV with song lyrics
Hey, can anyone help me here? I'm thinking of making an amv with japanese song lyrics but don't know how to add them on. Can anyone help? Thanx.

most video editing programs have a subtitle function.
look up the lyrics and enter the subtitles where appropriate. note that it will probably be annoying for viewers to watch an amv with lyrics subbed throughout the video.

virtual dub comes with a plugin by defualt to add subtitles, i think. learn how to use sub station alpha or medusa to time the subs, then you can use virtualdub to add them to your final encode. my last video was in japanese but i ended up not releasing it with the subtitles... not sure what people prefered so i just left them out and put the lyrics in the info page.

It worked pretty well for AbsoluteDestiny's Little Mermaid video, though, so if you want to do it, more power to you. You may want to consider making the video widescreen and keeping the subtitles in the black area, and having two versions of the video available (one subbed/one raw) would also be a good idea...

Sometimes I think it can actually add to the video if executed correctly in the right context.note that it will probably be annoying for viewers to watch an amv with lyrics subbed throughout the video.

it'd be new to me! But it'd take a really good Japanese song to impress me and I usually don't care about foreign lyrics. (no offense)downwithpants wrote:most video editing programs have a subtitle function.
