Questions after making my 1st amv

Hey ! So .. i've just finished my 1st amv .. didn't upload it yet coz i have no internet connection at home at moment and no cd writer etc .. but i have some questions for u guys :
My video is made only in virtual dub and avi edit .. IS there any easier way to action sync beside turning the video into frames calculating the nr of frames u need in a sequence then multypling or deleting frames ?!? .. coz that's what i did .. sure .. changing the frame rate is a lot easier but i didn't have a programm that can join fragm of videos with different frame rates .. if u know a programm or another way to do this tell me .. i can get any programm .. though i was planning on getting the adobe package : premiere, after effects and photoshop .. coz a lot of ppl seem to use it and think it's good .. bla-bla ..
Do u know a program using which can insert text into a video .. the kind that appears and fades away with diff. effects ...

Yes: get an actual <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/phpBB/v ... non-linear editor</a>.

changing the frame rate is a lot easier but i didn't have a programm that can join fragm of videos with different frame rates .. if u know a programm or another way to do this tell me ..

Most of the NLEs on that list should be able to do it; even Windows Movie Maker, which you already have on your computer if you have Windows XP, can do it (it just forces everything into 29.97 frames per second).

Since you already mentioned Adobe: Premiere and After Effects can both do that, or you could make the text in Photoshop and import it into one or the other.

And most of the NLEs on that list are able to import image files and add effects to them and whatnot. I think even Windows Movie Maker has a title feature these days.

AE is a real pain to work with if you don't have the patience. [which I don't...]

However, if you're smart [which is Koop], you can do anything AE can WITHOUT AE... So don't too much about WHAT editor your using. It's the editing itself that determines your outcome. [though the editor you use will really only affect your time/convenience...]
