About the "Some Videos Not Available Thread"

I find it odd, that is has to be those three bands and not like the other million types that complained about this. Sure I mean Creed, Evanescence, and Seether, are all popularly over rated bands for use on AMV's.org but why does it have to bother their music record company's? This isn't no strike or anything, but I believe that they should feel honored that their work is being used in our craft and talent in making these videos. Well thats all I have to say what does anybody else think?

i think the latter - also i think if you want to use thier songs now - get the karoke machine out record your own cover and use that.

Sorta like New Found Glory or (No bleepin Good). Ummm don't use covers with a band that uses hand clapping though.

Because it was their record company that was originally contacted by someone wanting to know if these videos were official. It has nothing to do with the attitudes of the record company or the bands regarding AMVs;.

See above. And it doesn't matter what the bands think. As I've said before, Amy Lee has seen and liked at least one video using her band's music.

If you can play basic piano and/or guitar and/or drums and can sing (I don't know about the actual song I've only heard the band version), you should be able to. I mean... it's not like Evanescence had any kind of skill as a band.

LOL, I can sing alright I cant play guitar or piano, but ....

my husband plays both LOL, I like the softer version better though

I doubt he would be up for recording it though, and I am probably too embarrassed to actually share it lol... plus I wouldnt really want to "push it" for the .org cause its "in enough trouble" already

then you'd make it big and start selling your music and some peculiar fansite would make music videos with it and you'd be forced to take legal action...
