Japanese Festival expo - amv's needed to promote convention
Hey all,
in about 2 weeks or so, there will be a Japanese Festival here in Hawaii and the local anime convention Kawaii Kon will have a registration table set up. We will have access to a laptop and a TV, so the assistant director has asked me to try and come up with a video montage of anime images and I thought to myself that what other form of 'eyecatch' is more readily accessible than AMV's?
So, with this in mind, I am looking for those of you interested in submitting AMV works for display at this event. Currently I have 2 hours to fill + either 1 or 2 half-hour sessions where the assistant director will be speaking to an audience. I know I could just browse thru the announcements and just download a whole bunch of them and just compile, but then I would have to email the creators, see if they wanted to participate etc etc etc. This way, if you post your desire to participate, then that step is already taken
Content-wise - basically just about anything that can be offered up as a local download from the ORG would probably be fine (minimal violence, sex, and explicit lyrics, etc as this will most likey be a family oriented festival - and don't want to scare obachan and okasan and have them run screaming out of the area).
As to series I'd like to see, ideally would like to get 'well known' series but pretty much any well made video would probably be okay.
Please bear in mind that I don't know how this will be displayed yet - I may have to convert it to a playable DVD or it may just be played on a laptop - so quality here counts. If you do not have a bumper on your piece, I will probably create black slates with the title, song and such to go inbetween them so creators will get credit.
So! If you would like to participate, please post below as well as a link to your AMV submittal you'd like to offer up for consideration!
As the assistant technical director for Kawaii Kon, I'd like to thank you all in advance and wish you all a happy holiday season!

Tono_Fry --> downloading the REM AMV you posted now, will see if it can be used (really does sound like it can be, however)
Caster Troy --> hehehe - got your 'Die another Day' vid already (and thanks for reminding me about that - that would be a good one too) and your Naruto Vs DBZ is a shoo-in as well as the description goes.
Jubjub2 --> I'm too Sesshy is being downloaded as I type! And Somewhere over the Rainbow by Brother Iz is already a given (as IZ does come from Hawaii, so if I didn't, they might kick me off the island!).
Thanks for your interest! anyone else want to showcase their work?
