VGMVs Spawn of Satan?

Not really all I want to know is what everyone here thinks about Video Game Music Videos? Stupid and childish? or something else...seriously I'm planning on doing just these and want to know what others think of them, actually I'm here because of them... hope this doesn't somehow make me less of a AMV maker... although I kinda am not.... How is it should these people be shunned to some other .org, separate but equal, or does it even matter to you? is a music video a music video for you?

Only problem has been that other than the six sided-melee-Green Day vid the only game vids that are out there are FF, and that becomes quite a cliche after a while.

Oh, yeah there has been something else, but it's late and I can't remember what it is.

If you're not planning on making and FF-MV's then I say storm forward with your idea, if they are going to be FF-MV's then tread lightly. You have to make a higher quallity vid for that than less often used themes, and that's just to break even.

no worries, due to powers beyond my control the entire genre of Final Fantasy was horribly ruined for me in freak accident and I never even finished playing FF VIII.... Other than that I'm really planning on darkhorses... Dreamcast titles, Xbox, nothing over done

Hey, if you can bring something *new* to the table, you've got my eyes and ears. This MV type isn't matured and is quite challenging, seemingly bearing many constraints. It may definitely require a different perspective for envisioning, and if that can be achieved, then so many (too many) possibilities will present themselves. (can you find the time create all the things you want?)

Careful, VGMVs are not without their investments and labor.

Oh, and never expect AMV fans to always be open to non-amv ideas. Apples and oranges... an MV is an MV. Go wherever it takes you.

Personally, I don't like 'em. But that's just cause they're not my cup of tea. But I've always said more importantly that they don't belong on this site, since this site is ANIMEMusicVideos.org, not AmateurMusicVideos.org. If you want VGMVs, go make a VGMV.org and put them there.
