Okay, if anyone's noticed I mostly give suggestions for Fruits Basket, and this time is no different. I was looking for an AMV like this, and I'm rea;;y surprised it hasn't been done, it's so perfect! Paint It Black by the Rolling Stones as an Akito song. These are the lyrics.

Not only are the lyrics excellent/very descriptive of his character, but, well, there's that whole thing in the manga about him/her painting the wall black. So in my opinion it's well, ideal, and if anyone wants to do it I'd be thrilled! Please let me know if you choose to!
I'm actually amazed that no one's done this yet...

Oh yeah, I know that cover...kinda...well it's not that, y'know, great. She's too upbeat for it, I think. I still have the song and listen to it sometimes, but in my opinion no one beats the Rolling Stones. Least not at that song.
Anyway. The reason why I think it fits Akito is that he wants everyone, the entire world, to be as miserable as he is. (Or she...shhh...) He wants his surroundings to match how he feels. And also, in the manga s/he's actually painting the wall black and saying 'everything must be black' to his/herself. So yeah. ^^;

I just listened to the Gob version. It's pretty good, but what makes Stones version great is the delecacy of the instrumentals and the way it gets stronger when it needs to in the song...it works wonderfully. In the cover, it's just too hard. It makes it into your standard rock song and it's not so...well that's just my opinion. But I've yet to find a cover that beats the original.

Don't listen to them. You have a very original concept, and a very vivid imagination. You took a song that's already been used dozens of times in almost every conceivable way, and put it in the context of a method that hasn't been done before.
