Well, I'm new to this site, brought here by an ear infection that kept me up all night, resulting in me seeing Evangelion for the first time, thus catapaulting me back into the world of anime, which I had been uninvolved in for a few years.

And now, I am about to solidify my magical and long-awaited return to the world of anime with an AMV. (Not my first. I made a few generic DBZ videos back in 9th grade. Mortal Kombat. Linkin Park. Am I ashamed? Yes. Will I deny ever admitting their existence? Yes. Have I seen the "All purpose DBZ AMV" Video? Yes. And I laughed mightily, because it is true.)

Anyway, my idea is an Asuka tribute using the song "Dizzy" by the Goo Goo Dolls.

Please let me know if this is stupid and/or retarded. Feel free to shoot it down and/or bellitle my existence through crippling insults. That is, after all, why I posted this.

Or perhaps encouragement and constructive criticism? Pretty please?

The only thing that could be stupid or retarded about your video is if you think it is stupid or retarded. If you want to make it, I say, "gets to steppin'." Don't listen to nobody!

As far as the Goo Goo Doll's - "Dizzy" goes, I don't remember the song. Go for it. Send me a link to it by PM when you're done if you'd like a review. Or, if you're like me, and want some feedback before you finish send me a link to a remote download, and I can let you know what I think of a current rendering.

AMVs are fun! They should be fun to make!

Hahaha. It's just my wonderful brand of sarcasm. It just seems like every forum you go to these days have asssholes ripping people down. I was trying reverse pshycology.

The lyrics, coupled with the fairly driving music of the song seem t fit Asuka in my opinion, and a little bit the relationship between Asuka and Shinji at parts.

I like a lot the lyric. Personally, i've never heard og the Goo goo dolls (i mean, i've never heard any song of them).
I think the lyric fits well with Asuka, but in the way of thinking of Shinji.
