What ruins it!!!

I thought i would just put this out there and see what answers we all have for it....The question is - What ruins an AMV for you when you see it?.... My self its the watermarks....What else is eveyones pet peeve?.....I have seen several so so AMVs that were ok but there in the right bottom corner is the........... Divx watermark !!!!!and it just Ruins it cause i keep seeing the damn thing appear and dissappear.....just bugs me...guess im being a nit about it...but jezzzit only takes a sec to get rid of the damn thing!!! Settings in the codec folks!

Damn that was easy....doooohhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!.....My AMVs are nothing fantastic and im still trying different things out....but there are no watermarks in my vids....

I believe I speak for most everyone here when I say that subtitles in an amv kills it with fire.
Overused anime + overused band (yes, I'm talking about all those linkinballz amvs) tends to kill it for me before I even watch the video

I hate it when scenes go on for too long. Subtitles are also fail.

I wish I could hear godix's two cents on this...

Lack of editing is the only thing which has so far really irked me. There's been a few times when I was excited to find a video to a favorite musical artist/song of mine, only to discover that someone plopped a few scenes down in no particular order and called in an AMV.

you know when your watching an amv and all of a sudden the song/theme changes randomly/abruptly? i hate that.

I don't think there's anything wrong with them saying they think it's the best video they've created, if they say "THIS IS THE BEST VID EVAR" then yeah that's annoying.

I don't think that's a "ruining factor" so much as turnoff. Which is true, I rarely watch a video to which I get a witless, vain or poorly-written description. There are plenty of exceptions even to that though.
