Friendship songs?

I would really like to make an amv that focuses on the strong friendship of 3 girls. However, when I searched my music collection, I found more romantic songs, and very few that focus on friendship. So, I was hoping someone here might have some suggestions.

I want it to center around the tight friendship, and have very little to no romance subtext. The song should target a current friendship, and not that of a broken/missing/dead instance. Lyrics are preferred. I'm not really looking for a specific genre, so I'll be open to any you find.

well, you said the strong friendship between two girls so I don't know if this song would work but....Best Friend by Toybox? Except the girl singing says 'he's my best friend, best of all best friends' so, I don't think it would work with the girls.....

Uhm...Graduation by Vitamin C? kind like an angsty 'leaving friends behind' thought o.O

Awww, that song sounds so cute >w< I don't think the he factor will be much of a problem, but if I decide to use it, I'll run it by a few other people.

Lean on Me has always been a good friendship song.

We Are Family is about sisters...probably just as applicable to girl friendship. There are some newer remakes to this one...

I mostly know oldies.

"My Funny Friend and Me" by Sting. It's on the Emperor's New Groove soundtrack.

Along the same Disney lines, there's "You've Got a Friend in Me" by Randy Newman. Toy Story Soundtrack.

Dionne Warwick - That's What Friends Are For

Or, kinda on the same lines, but more about sisterhood is "We Are Family" by the Pointer Sisters.

I haven't heard songs recently that focus on friendship, unfortunately. Only the older stuff.
