Out of curiosity what do you look for in an action AMV?

Depends on the music and video... I think some people think an action video must sync with every beat but it does not really have to depending on what your trying to do with it

Yep.

Effects: They shouldn´t make the video look perfedic. You know? The should be something good, additional and not something cheesy that is completly out of place.

Sync: Very important. You have to match some major beats for sure. For example: The song changes to something calm or a rush... How much you sync is up to you. It depends on how you like it. You can sync every piece of shit like it is done here:

Or you try to sync more the mood and atmosphere. I think a good example for it is this one:

It´s more a question of how good the video matches the flow of the music.

nah, but in all seriousness I pretty much look for something that will bring my attention to it with adrenaline (since I'm not very good at watching vids without looking elsewhere lol). Synch is an important factor in action AMVs but as Vlad said its not always neccesary to synch everything, in fact I think my eyes would die if I see a vid with heavy metal music that synch every beat lol. For me effects should be to help on synching or lyrics (maybe the mood itself), but I preffer simple stuff.

there is quite a lot og great action AMVs on the org, so I'm sure you will see what almost everyone likes to see in action AMVs by watching those (the action ones in the 10% are pretty good).

yeah I think that sums it all I think. Oh also in an Action AMV is not neccesary to tell a story like in sentimental or romance vids, but its always good to see some story lines behind all the explosions, punches and stuff

Im doing a Street Fighter 2 video to the song Chinese Burn by Curve. This is my first straight action AMV so I just wanted some tips.
