Stop with the Double and Triple Releases
I've noticed a horrid trend taking hold lately. People are posting announcements of two or even three videos being released at once in one thread. It'd bad enough that many people have a hard enough time making ONE good video. Now you're subjecting your audience to multiple crap-fests at once? Is there some mentality that's taken hold of editors where quanity > quality?
You're [as a whole] becoming too mainstream, watered-down, and just flat-out boring. There's still a few good editors here who know how to do fun things, and I won't name names, but I'm generally disappointed with the state of editing at this point. So as a favor to the situation in general, don't release multiple videos at once until you master the art of getting at least ONE right.

Same here. I've been making AMV's for a while, and I am still trying to make a decent one. I have several that I have uploaded here so far, and apparently not a one of them have yet to stand out, except maybe my .Hack one, but that's not the pooint. It's quality over quantity for me, and I have seen damn good AMV's that I wish mine could be half as good. The quality lately has been dwindling and I must say to AMVer's, step it up a notch, focus on one AMV at a time instead of having multiple projects going at once where your attention is divided.

Um, practically everyone I knew who did it wasn't making a ton of videos at the same time. They just held off their releases until things piled up.
Also, time to edit != quality. Not damn fucking near.

The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Aw, why the hate? Releasing multiple videos at a time doesn't immediately mean that the editor did a half-baked job on them. If you have more than one video to release at a time, you should consolidate them into one announcement as a matter of courtesy.
(I can't believe I just had to type that out. Isn't it kinda... obvious? )

Isn't it a written rule of the Announcement forum as well?jasper-isis wrote:If you have more than one video to release at a time, you should consolidate them into one announcement as a matter of courtesy.
