Could real music videos be any more badly edited?

It's really awful how artists these days can deal with it. The editors just slap on the scenes after the camera crew shoots the promotional video. Unless it's one-shot, the editors really do a bad job with editing nowadays.

Want to see a really bad video that actually could have had a lot of action?

Some videos are badly made, so is the way of the world.

I like a lot of new music videos I see on MusicHD and am pissed I can't download them anywhere in HD.

I use to record them off of mtv a long time ago when I was in middle school. I was in love with them and can say that's what originally got my interest in editing.

they're not bad, they just don't perceive editting the way we do, the whole notion of synch wouldnt apply to them, they only focus on the videos they make on a conceptual level, not so much on technical.

I've seen plenty of Music Videos on TV that do just fine on a technical level. Even see better mood sync, lot of visuals that match the audio better than I see here.

Look up Chris Cunningham and Michele Gondry...

There ARE artists out there who do contribute good stuff to the industry. You just gotta know who to look for.

It's really not a right thing to say all the music videos are bad.. It's just the vast majority that is. Well, these people get paid for what they do and care less about the outcome than we people who do it for fun do.

I think the most music videos out there are alright. I can´t really remeber of a video where I had to say: Wow. Now that one was bad edited.

They have to bring up attention for other things like the settings or the atmosphere.

There are really cool music videos out there wich can bring the song to the viewer like:

Oh I sure can.

Enya released a video to one of her songs that became very popular with the amv crowd.

The lamest amv using her tune was still several levels better than the total POS video she got that likely cost her a lot of cash.

Just because you paid a professional a lot of cash to make a video using actual stage performers and a proper studio doesn't mean you are going to get something worth anything. I would have rated her video a 1 if it had been listed here.

My comment would have been, video bears no relation to the song.
