When writing is so important

Well probably I won't come with this video in a close time but I would like to spend the time in watching some animes...

I'm looking for an scene where a character is writing something important, like life depends of it and/or a scene where a character writes something in a sad mood. It could be better if another character, time after, reads what the other wrote and reacts in some way (in this case I don't care the way it reacts).

What I have so far: Princess Tutu and Saikano. Any ideas?

Watching EF (it's surprising how it fits my concept O_O). Does anybody have one other idea?

The second season of Princess Tutu. It's integral to the plot too--someone having to write something that peoples' lives depend on. They use quills though :P. (I just finished watching this anime and really enjoyed it.)

MyOTOME has some people writing peppered throughout the series. In volume 5 extra (fan service), Erstin is writing at a desk after the bath scene.
