What are important attributes to heroes according to you?
Be serious please. I'm using this information in regards to something.
Just list traits or attributes you think are important to someone considered as a hero.
Examples:
Courage
Determination
Willpower
Physical / mental strength
self Sacrificial
ETC gimme sum traits peoples. I'm prolly gonna stick with the traits that get the most listings for something i'm doing.
All so, If you have any good quotes regarding heroes, please share them on this thread as well.
Thx in advance.

"The people cannot be [...] always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to [...] the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to public liberty. What country can preserve its liberties, if it's rulers are not warned [...] that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants."-Thomas Jefferson

I had "Honor" written down but I guess sympathy is a bit more in depth into that subject. It works. The Origonal Head Hunter wrote:Sympathy.
Who cares if he's determined, courageous, strong, and even self-sacrificial if he doesn't have a place in his heart for the weak, innocent, oppressed, etc. etc.
Keep em comin.
To make this more effective please for future posts put the first <b><u> 3 most important traits to a hero that comes to mind for you</b></u>.
For example these would be mine:
Courage
Honor
Determination
I'm prolly just gonna use the top 3 out of the data from this thread if i get enough posts. I all so need quotes! Post quotes in the form:
"Quote" -Author
Thx again

"Heros must have the courage to do things differently. Whether it be to rise up against opression, make a new idealism or way of life, or to simply protect somebody in harm's way. Without courage, they are just everday people incapable of doing anything to change the world." - Code
"Strength is important. Whether it be strength of body, mind or spirit, a hero must have power. Without it, they are an ordinary person no different from the average Joe. They need to have the power to make the changes that this world needs." - Code

Kind of fits... one of my favorites...
although this is probably more the speed your looking for.The hero is one who kindles a great light in the world, who sets up blazing torches in the dark streets of life for men to see by. The saint is the man who walks through the dark paths of the world, himself a light.
-Felix Adler
