How long do you spend making an AMV?

Roughly how long does it take you to make an AMV? And how many hours [excluding intervals] do you think should be put in a AMV?

it depends on how complex the idea is... can take anywhere from a few hours to several months

Not all projects are equal. A computed average isn't exactly getting you anywhere when the points are so varied. Telling you I average 150 or so hours isn't going to be statistically significant when that comes from a couple of short (<20 hour) projects, a mammoth one that took over 300 hours, and 2 that were done between 50 and 80.

As long as it takes to look right. That can be a couple hours for a simple video, to several hundred for an extremely complex one.

There's no hard and fast rule, and everyone's style will require slightly different amounts of time.

Sort of depends. The average I would think is 2-3 weeks for me.
