I Need What You Call Motivation

So I've come to a point where editing still interests me, but Im not sure where to go from there.
I've been editing for a couple years, not so great to be honest.
I haven't done an amv in so damn long, I don't even feel right saying "I make amvs"
There's improvement in progress (mild at that) yet im lacking the drive to edit.
Seeing all these timelines and new videos out just gives me the urge to do the same, but for what?
It used to be that I edited and made a full amv because I loved the song and the Anime, and did a so called story along with it.
I have ideas or small concepts that I can build from but, yet again, for what?

Not saying there's any real reason to edit, but I'm just losing that drive to do so.
So my dear friends (or I hope yall will be) in your opinion, what can I use, or what have you used, to get that motivation to edit kicking again?
I want to be involved in the film industry, and editing, I feel, helps in my creativity department.

Also, there may very well not even be an answer to this.
Maybe I should just stop? and If I ever, edit whenever it feels right to?
Corny as it may sound, I might have answered my own question.
Regardless, anything that may help?

I just lost the motivation too, so Im just on hiatus, taking a break, if anything pops up that i want to edit I will, simple for me.

just watch some new amvs or some old ones that got you to start in the first place.

I usually just wait for inspiration to strike.. I don't have much motivation anymore either... but if an idea sounds good or fun then I try to go for it... you could also try Iron Cheffing it or just making random combinations or taking requests.

every now and again a good amv or a good song will get me pumped and motivated to edit
then I usually remember that I have homework and/or 2 lab reports to write :/

Get one or two other interests that you can cycle between when one gets boring. by the time it comes full circle editing will seem new and exciting again.
