How long does it take you to make an AMV?

I've always heard good AMVs take a long time to make. I usually finish my AMVs pretty fast, I think the longest I've spent on one would be around 70 hours..

The hardest part for me is getting an idea or inspiration to make one, but the making part usually goes by pretty fast, like about 4 hours/day * 7, 28 hours and I'm finished... I already render most clips I'm going to use for it before I start, so I already have the footage ready.

Just wondering how long it takes you guys to make one.

depends on the video and the flow.

i can crank one out in 5 or 6 hours if im in the right mindset and have a good creative flow going, or i can drag a video out for 2 or 3 years and get nothing done

The shortest time it took me to finish up an amv was my 2nd one which took me 31 hours across 3 days since it was a r&b song and I was going for lyrical sync and a fitting atmosphere. The longest it took me to finish an amv was my latest and 21st one which took me 116 hours across 19 days, it was fanservice and over 10 minutes long with 5 tracks. I set it up like a movie with the intro and credits and everything, I would say a little over 8 minutes were the main parts. On those parts I used 2 of the 5 songs and the other 3 were used in my intro and credits. Depending on what kind of concept you have, the types of materials you use for editing, your source of getting your animes, how fast your PC is, and how committed you are to it, it's guaranteed to take up more than 2 days. At least for me. After my 2nd amv everything else took over at least 6 days and since this past spring I just gave myself more time to finish an amv, after my 15th amv I just gave myself at least a month to work on the rest.
