Tell me if this happens to you. You try to sit down to watch an anime. As you watch it you start getting songs going in the back of your head. These songs start running around and before you know it your are looking at the anime trying to fit a song to it or going "hey, it would work perfect with this". I try to just sit down and casually enjoy anime but if I am working on an AMV I cannot watch anything. Except for the anime I am doing the AMV to. I just want to know how to turn that little AMV gremlin in my head off.

It happens the other way around for me, trying to enjoy a song but either a previously created AMV pops into my head or I keep getting more AMV ideas. I think I have six running around now.

used to but now I don't try to look for ideas, I get enough as is.

I have a similar problom . When I make an amv I get so sick of the song im making it to that I will never again be able to listen to that song for recreation. So I try to use songs that I wont miss to much

I have that problem for both the TV AND the radio. I carry a little book around with me(yes, it's retarded, I know) and write down the ideas for later. I now have around 20 ideas currecntly. ^.^ I can never turned the damned thing off inside my head, so I use it to my advantage.

Usually I get the idea for an AMV when I'm listening to a song. Pieces of an anime just kind of fit into it and then I flow with that.

He used to have a Knux gif in his sig. I put it in mine, butit was removed because of the size juristictions.
