80s Cartoons Live Again!

Just some free ideas for something resembling a co-op like the DDR or NES projects. Except this one would involve AMVs to 80s cartoon show theme songs.

Some possibilities:

X/1999 -- X-Men theme
Gundam Wing -- TaleSpin theme
Princess Mononoke -- Pirates of Dark Water theme
Vampire Hunter D -- Count Duckula theme
Evangelion -- Exo Squad theme

Any thoughts?

I've seen all those shows minus exo squad and to be honest I don't think the ideas are all that great. The theme to Pirates of Dark Warter comtinually speaks about the artifacts and more characters than Monoke has. Xmen and X might make a good action video. However Gundam Wing and Count Duckula I don't think would work. The lyrics just don't fit especially considering D and you are dealing with the mention of a duck every few lines. Sorry to sound like a jerk, but I just don't think the ideas are so great. Haven't seen exosquad though so I won't comment on that.

I had a rather twisted set of images come to mind for Evangelion...

The theme to H.R. Pufnstuf.

Lyrics:

Eva-01 = Pufnstuf
Magic flute = entry plug (specifically the one unit 01 crushes)
Witchie-Poo = Chairman Keel
the Vroom Broom and boat = Angels.

Oh sure, it's not perfect by any stretch, but if "Hamtaro is Hardcore" can get made...

For that matter, how about either Flame of Recca or (shudder) DBZ to the theme from"Puff the Magic Dragon"?

Or Vampire Hunter D to Darkwing Duck?

While I can't think of an anime off the top of my head this could work with...the theme to 'Inspector Gadget' could make a pretty funny one

Excuse me, but Pufnstuf is more of a late 60's/early 70's kinda thing.

OMGWTF someone else remembers Exo Squad? Kickass!

However, I think the whole schpiel about e-frames and colonizing planets would make the Eva connection difficult to establish...

Inspector Gadget theme= Escaflowne.

And for Dr. Evil's cat, you could have Merle!!!
Dr. Evil could be Dilandau or Folken.
Inspector Gadget could be Van!
Trigun, Akira also MIGHT work.

Also, it'd work with Gundam Wing/Endless Waltz!

Inspector Gadget= Heero
Dr. Evil= Mariemeia(sp.)
Dr. Evil's Cat= a random Gundam?

Also, Transformers would work, too!

Inspector Gadget= Anyone
Dr. Evil= Megatron
Dr. Evil's cat= the little chestplate things that pop out mini cassette tapes.

Of course, I don't think the main evil guy is called Dr. Evil, but you get the jist anyway.

And what about "My Little Pony"?? You can't do ANYTHING without "My Little Pony"!!! Think of the possibilites, people! Think!!!
