Anime about homeless people?
I have this one particular song in mind that is about homeless people. Very upbeat though.
Does anyone have any suggestions of what animes I could use? I was thinking about something in the lines of Tokyo Godfathers. It has to be a happy anime series though?

There's a bit of homelessness in Kodocha. One of the characters used to be homeless until Sana found him and took him home and made him her manager. And the whole family eventually loses their home. Although they don't exactly live on the street.
The protagonist of Fruits Basket is homeless and living in a tent in the beginning of the series.
There's homeless people in Paranoia Agent (also from the director of Tokyo Godfathers, Satoshi Kon), although the show is not particularly happy. It's a suspense/thriller/psychological mystery show.
Ie Naki Ko (aka. Nobody's Boy - Remi) and its 1996 remake Ie Naki Ko Remi feature a boy, and in the remake a girl, end up homeless and traveling Europe. I've not watched it, but from what I gather, it has many sad moments.
The main characters of Grave of the Fireflies end up homeless after their hometown is bombed in World War II by the US. If you didn't already know, this movie is sad. There are some happy moments, though.
And then there's Mr. Stain on Junk Alley, which is just plain weird.

Tokyo Godfathers is a upbeat christmas themed movie with three homeless people as the Protagonist. Should have the imagery you need.

I'm not sure if its the whole plot, but in episodes of Brigadoon it looks as if the whole town has gone homeless. (I haven't seen the anime yet, just saw some clips of it )
Yes. That is a Rainbow Eevee and you are not high.

I need some episode confirmation, but Wolf's Rain had quite a bit of poverty stricken people in it towards the later part of the series.

Well, they weren't homeless to begin with... at that point in the series Earth and Brigadoon were collapsing together and fires, earthquakes, etc. were breaking out everywhere, forcing people to live in the streets and take shelter in schools. But that's about it.Invaderkibachan wrote:I'm not sure if its the whole plot, but in episodes of Brigadoon it looks as if the whole town has gone homeless. Try "Nana"
Nana and Ren are both homeless and have no families and live in a warehouse for a good bit of their life. The show has some upbeat parts too, because Nana and Ren are both musicians.

Samurai Champloo, or just about any ronin series I'd say
