Where is our world going?

Post by JudgeHolden » Wed Oct 21, 2009 11:17 pm

So, over the past 4 to 5 years there has been a dramatic shift in the AMV world. When I started AnimeMusicVideos.org was the center of the AMV world. However with the invention of BewbTube, we have drifted from the center of the universe and closer to the edge of the universe. Most people I meet say "I saw your video on BewbTube", not "I saw it on the Org". Many times they haven't even heard of the Org, or only heard of it in passing and never really visited the site. Are we now the indie editors of the AMV world, the outsiders? Or are we the old stuffy country club?

How can we change this (if we want to)? Do we need to promote the Org more at cons? Is our version of streaming enough?

Also, where do you really do most of your AMV watching?

I'm going with the country club. I mean, some of us aren't that far away from yelling at those damn kids to stay off our lawn, comparatively speaking, of course.

Well.. i always thought the answer was quite simple. The tube is welcoming to any and every person who wants to upload shet on the net. The org isnt equally as friendly and tend to shun people out. Amvs are in general a lot easier to access on the tube and easier to upload, wheras even though the org now has streaming, it still requires members to know ftp to upload their shet, which not everyone will be willing to learn.

Also i actually watch most amvs on the tube. There are some pretty good vids on there that arent available on the org ya know :<

The snake ate it's tale to the point where there was no snake left. this hobbie as it was before the tube is gone. It's far from the last death there was the point where people used 2 VCRs that's all gone.

VCR editing was how they made the videos, though, not how they distributed them.

What 0_o

this site is much bigger than it was 0_o
What does jewtube concern with this? Because of them we have MUCH MORE editors in the community and more awareness of "amvs". Im actually happy they came along the way, well maybe for few of you who hate it. But for people like me im happy that yt was they're. If it wasn't for yt i would never start editing in the first place. And most of the people like to hide this and call themselves org'rs. But im not gonna call names.
Anyways Nothing is going wrong with the a.m.v universe |:
Just filled with more editors that jewtubers.
And i myself am a tuber, but a friend of mine introduced me to a.m.v org after the 2nd month i starded editing so im pretty active around here, and i upload videos.

And yes I watch Alot of amvs from Yt but i do watch amvs over here to quite often.
But out of the line here, only reason i hate yt is for removing amvs (removed my best work last week), and for the dbz tards. Thanks to Org though im moving on more to the originality and different varities of style rather than depending on Flash n' Blur. :) Most of this is off topic im guessing but i just wanted to let you on to my mind.
And i do promote org on bewbtube here and theyre

As an editor I originated from bewbtube since I didn't even know of the Org's existence back then in 2007. After some Org people gave me some criticism and feedback on my video on bewbtube, I saw the Org as a place of elitist snobs who were jealous of my awesome spammy effects on my naruto video. I also found the whole uploading process on the Org annoying and tedious at first.

I think bewbtube is a stepping stone to reach the Org. From what I've seen, editors on bewbtube that become more experienced eventually end up here despite their first impressions of this place.

Bewbtube is kind of like a preschool where you start off and well, the Org is pretty much one of the main places you end up at. So really I think bewbtube is actually contributing to this site's growth.
