Action Packed *COMEDY* Anime?

Hi I'm working with an interesting piece that involves Anime both Action packed, but humourous at some points. It's a really unique mix I'm looking for. The action has to be somewhat Cowboy Bebop-ish and the comedy has to be Trigun-ish.

I've already considered both... but more suggestions would be needed. If possible... animes with guns, explosions, etc.

Samurai Champloo -- The series is set way back in the Edo Period of Japan. There is a lot of good comedy throughout the entire series, as well as action and samurai genres.
The series was created by the guy who made Cowboy Bebop too, so it's basically guaranteed that it'll be good.

Two very different samurais (Mugen and Jin) become body-guards for a girl (Fuu) that is looking for the samurai that smells of sunflowers. She makes a rule that the two are not allowed to duel each other until she finds the man, despite the two believing they are destined to fight to the death.

Maybe Excel Saga? It contains both action and comedy, as well as shooting and blasting and a whole lotta gags. It's a parody to anime, manga and Japanese culture in general, so you may find some use.

Vandread is definitely at the top of my recommendations, Full Metal Panic being a good one if you need guns and explosives. If guns themselves aren't necessary, I'm pretty sure that Ranma 1/2 has a lot of property damage.

Cowboy Bebop, Love Hina (harem action), Elfen Lied (depending on your sense of humor), Super Milk Chan (mild action), also I agree with FLCL, one of the best examples ever.
