Well that's how I was pronouncing it, but I just got the phonetic spelling wrong. I know how to pronounce it though, because I've heard Desmond Llewelyn's (R.I.P ) name spoken several times.Jebadia wrote:Haha..he did better than Willow.

Re: Do you know...
My name isnt hard to say but some people say "jon-than" instead of "jo-na-than" i dont mind or really notice but still people say it. I think people say it that way because they are too lazy to pronounce the "a" Oh well.WilLoW :--) wrote:...how to pronounce my firstname ?
it's ERWAN
how would you pronounce it?
Do you have a name that other people pronounce the wrong way ?

Ah good, I'd guessed "Erwan" right, or close to it. 8)
*begin rant!*
LOTS of people, even if I've said it right to them, get my last name wrong. Nearly everyone gets it wrong at first, and a lot of people revert to the wrong pronunciation even after they've heard me say it the right way. My supervisor says it wrong, and she's worked there for over a year. My former SO still says it wrong, and I've known him for about four years now.
Nobody ever knows how to spell it, and nobody seems humanly capable of pronouncing it. I think it was mangled on the way into the States; it makes no sense and it sounds ugly. Hate it. Hatehatehate.
'Course, my mom's name is almost as hard to pronounce and spell, so it's not like I could use anything else even if I tried.

People screw up pronouncing my last name everytime.
In high school I new this kid who's name was:
Adètunji Tajudeen. Although it wasn't spelled that way.
Whenever there was a subsitute he/she would go down the list and when they got to his name it was always,
"Ade- Ad- Adet--"
"Here!"
