Although I see your point, does every forum you go to have over 120,000 registered users? There's a lot of potential for using up space intended for AMVs thereThe Eva Monkey wrote:This place is retardedly nitpicky with sigs... you know what, forum structure loads first, then images which enter cache, it makes no difference in the greater scheme of things what size a person's sig is if its self hosted. I use 56k alot to view forums, and I've never groaned at people's sigs. REAL sigs are art, and I find it disrespectful to delete them without warning. I don't have the time to edit my signature for every fucking forum I go to.
I'm new.... Welcome me.

1) the size of my sig does not affect bandwith for AMVs, it affects my bandwith.Savia wrote:Although I see your point, does every forum you go to have over 120,000 registered users? 2) of the users here, the vast majority of them are 0 posters, and even fewer still are active posters. The fact that I simply posted several times has most likely put me into the upper percentile. I'd look further into the statistics, but this forum has conveniently removed the ability to sort by posts.
So.... essentially I fail to see your point.

So, according to my calculations, me posting 14 times has put me into the uper 1% of posters. Wow.... horray for statistics. The shear volume of zero posters is staggering.... 118071.

Yeah but if you added up all the posts and divided that by the total number of members... everyone would have some posts.

-A person with 14 posts comprises 0.01% of all posts made.
-The number 1 poster (with 4725 posts) comprises 1.81% of all posts made.
-The top ten posters have posted 15.14% of all material on this board.
-Of those top ten, four accounts are currently inactive, and have been for a while.
-If you calculate by membership when regarding posting activity, anyone who has made at least one post is in the top 4% of posters, and anyone with at least 5 posts is in the top 1% of posters.
