Man I love that car.
Sometimes a good deal pops up.
The Skyline was my choice for modern day, for classics I'd go with a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 with 428cj and shaker hood, or a 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 429

The Boss Mustang with the 302 is a far more practical choice. The Mach I is designed with nothing but the drag strip in mind, so it's handling, braking, and overall road feel is shitty. Then there's regular maintenance. Because the 428 Cobra Jet takes up so much of the engine compartment's space, the engine has to be removed to gain easy access to the spark plugs (unless you want to jack the car up, taking out the spark plugs from underneath).
The Boss 302 is a true streetcar, aimed more towards pro-touring. It can do fine at the drags, but it's handling and braking are far superior. The 302 Cleveland is an excellent high performance motor as well, while still giving you enough clearance to perform a tune-up. The borexstroke of any 302 (GM or Ford) makes the a properly-blueprinted 5.0L a less sluggish, street-friendly engine (exactly what leadfoots want), while still getting better gas mileage, efficiency, and weight distribution than your high performance big blocks. Get one with a 9" rear-end and a C4 automatic for drag racing (that transmission can handle the power and abuse very well)l, or if you are more into pro-touring, spend the extra cash to swap in a Tremec 5-speed, and 3.55:1 rear gears (to give plenty of torque for getting off the line, while having reasonable cruising rpm's in overdrive).

I drive a '94 Plymouth Acclaim (think Dodge Spirit, they are the same)
[wishfull thinking]
I want something with luxury, like a Rolls Royce or a Maybach. But for speed I have to agree on the Skyline or a Mclaren F1. There's also Ferrari, which cost less than Mclaren but maintainence is a killer ($50 for a quart of oil, otherwise no warrenty? for shame)

The realistic car I want is a '97 Jetta, forest green.

I drive a Silver '98 Nissan Maxima.
Before I got that car I drove a '94 Ford Escort. The Ford only had electric seat belts. EVERYTHING else was manual (windows, seats, etc...)
So the upgrade to leather intereior, sunroof, electric windows/locks was nice. Plus it came with a Bose system (not the best) which is a great step up from my shit box radio from the Ford.
There's a couple pics of it here.

Might be quite some time until I have a million dollars to spend on a car though. I'd also be willing to settle on a Mercedes Benz F400
Dont we all want a car like this, but if we dont win the lottory or get a job that gives u like $100/hr, then i guess we gonna have to stick with what we got.
