Sanitarium, with Obsidian as a close 2nd. Both were adventure games, with Sanitarium putting you in the shoes of an amnesiac mental patient who had to try to piece together his past an his sanity. Obsidian was. . . it's been a long time since i played it, but this large black rock-type structure appears and begins expanding.
