Passive Agressive. They feel if they full on kicked you out they would somehow be "bad parents" by not having the loyalty to let you stay as long as you wanted, so instead they subconciously start acting like they would if it was just them, thus causing you to want to leave.

I don't see any problems with having a place of your own ^^

we moved into out first apartment when we were 13 ( which sounds strange in the US ) and we never went back 8)

All parents should be there for are to help get you started in life
( for shame on you if your still living in their house beyond Graduating High School! )

Unless you have a Family Dojo in the Martail Arts, I see no readon for wanting to be a burdon on your parents!

I'd like to move out but they locked me in the basement with the ball-n-chain.

No, actually - the whole moving out idea looks good on paper, but I don't think I'm yet capable of handling the financial burden myself. And anyways, no rush with me - I'm scheduled to move out within a year, which is not too long to wait...

yeah, 9 months for me.

I'm SOOOO not looking forward to paying for an apartment.

It's looking like a dorm room and grandma's house for me.

Do like I did. Move 50 miles away, never call, never send a letter, and then just show up 5 months later. You'd be surprised the changes that makes. Of course NEVER.... I can't emphasize this enough... NEVER move back in. That causes a lot of problems. A LOT!

50 miles is nothing, that's less than an hour.

I'm moving 1,500 miles away. I intend on not having a phone, too expensive, my cell will do fine, and fuck the postal service. So i think I'm being a little colder than you :?

look on the bright side, if you move out you don't have to listen to them complain or bitch at you to clean your room anymore. also, if you stay away for a while, they treat you extra nice when you come back and visit.
i'm sick but i'm pretty

1,500 miles cost money. And lots of it! Money wasn't an option. Besides, the only college that would take me (coincidentally the only one I applied to) was that "50 miles away." Besides I don’t’ recall this being a pissing contest. I am just stating a fact.
