School lock in.... aw what fun, 3:40am, I still got till 9am, not one wink of sleep yet.... That's surprising because I only got 6 hours of sleep last night...

I'm pretty sure it's where a bunch of people get together for like 12 hours straight in a school or other building. There's usually a bunch of activities going on; basketball, arts & crafts, games and whatnot. It's supposedly an incentive to give kids something "wholesome" and "entertaining" to do, as opposed to roaming the streets, stealing cars and shooting heroin like they would otherwise be doing. [/sarcasm]

But yeah, that's what a lock-in is, to the best of my knowledge. They lock the doors so nobody can leave 'til the event is over.

yes, it's where you lock a bunch of kids in a school for several hours, we're watching movies, had a dance, and we played basketball.... I owned everyone at the dance, I stole the floor

if it's voluntary then they shouldn't have the need for locking the doors to keep everyone in..also, isn't this a saturday? why are you guys at school?
