Yeah...if he was not going to return them for me then I would have called him out on it but the fact that he is working with me on this is enough for me. I don't like to be an ass hat so I don't really want to get involved in something like that...BasharOfTheAges wrote:Aw.

I was ignorant at the whole eBay situation with anime. I know better now to check out original artwork and look at the auction more carefully now than to just say " OMGZ! LIKE CHEAP ANIME DVDS!!!" *Buy now Buy Now!!**
I wont be trigger happy =D

Yeah, it's strictly Rightstuf or Deepdiscount for me. Prey on the thick cased series' when their thin packs come out, you can get them for 3 bucks a pop if your lucky o.0.
... coarse I recently bought the thin Rahxephon for 80 from DDD but... that was just cuz I wanted to waste money of something lol.
Anyway, back to the bootlegging issue. I never bought stuff from Craigslist, but I'd imagine the pickings for legit used copys would be better there... You'd have to pick the stuff up yourself though... I mean, unless the seller agrees to deliver them, Craigslist discourages selling stuff through the mail.

If the seller hasn't listed it as Region 1 or US release in their listing, I send a message to ask. That's worked for me so far.
I've gotten some awesome deals...the first two Ranma box sets for $12 each (!!!) the entire Gokusen box set for $9...R.O.D. the TV complete series for $45.
Sometimes I feel almost guilty that nobody has bid against me and given the seller a fair price.
Other places you have to be careful about what you get are the Used and New section of Amazon, and Half.com. I could barely believe it when the seller at Half.com sent me an e-mail telling me my thinpak box set of MSA Abenobashi was on the way and that it was an 'import.' (It arrived with a name brand on it that was identified as bootleg on a pirate-ID-ing site.) He implied I should have realized it because of the low price ($17) and thinpak packaging. I raised the roof and got my money back, but half feel I should have reported the guy anyhow.
