That scene and a few others only appeared in the R2 DVDs, I believe the original release only.

It's also on my HK discs.

They're off the 6th DVD volume of Eva, which is the director's cut episodes of 21-24. ISBN number KIBA-6, I believe. (Checks)

If you want it though I'd hold off on buying it. Eva's being totally remastered from film sources (i.e. a new telecine) to look way better and they're remixed sound to 5.1ch DolbyDigital. 11 disc box set comes out in June. See here.

The BIG NEWS is that they're going to sell us a product that we should have gotten in the first place at a much higher cost.

Oh well, I should talk. I have HK discs. Maybe I'll get those. I am currently doing a AMV using alot of stills and the stills just look like crap. So much crap, I was thinking of re-doing some of them, but at the cost of 2 - 5hrs per frame to re-colorize. It just seems like a pain(big fat fucking pain)...

Well I'm buying the box because I made a vow to own everything ever made in terms of Eva content (i.e. every piece of footage, every manga) with a few exceptions (like for the computer games since they're not in the official cannon anyway).

Current speculation is the box set will run 48000yen or more, because the Nadia boxset from Gainax was also 11 discs and it was 48000 yen when it first came out.

So I'm saving my money now.

Oh yea and volume 8 of the Eva Manga came out this month. I have to find a place that has it - although one of my friends went to Japan and she said she'd try to pick it up for me if she saw it so I have to wait til I see her again to avoid possibly buying 2 copies of it.
